Happy Saturday!

Sitting here having my morning coffee and thinking about the direction I want this blog to go. I suppose I'll write the things I like, craft projects, recipes, bible studies, things I relate to.
Case in point: Last week I found laminated printable sheet of burlap at Wal-Mart! My soon to be daughter-in-law had ordered something printed on burlap and I wondered exactly how to make it work...then the craft section helped me out! They are in regular printer paper sized sheets and you just place in the printer where the paper goes!

Allie loves monograms...we found this design on a great website that lets you make your own monogram.

 On the next one I make I'll use different font...the one above is bold. She liked though!

I'll experiment with it later...excited about trying a picture on it!

This is certainly the first time I have seriously decided to do this. I have things to say, things to share that may help one person. I am a mother, daughter, sister, ex-wife, RN currently waiting tables (that story later) that has to have an outlet for all this "stuff" I have inside. I don't want to have this blog as a journal but as a "here's what I'm thinking", here's a recipe you may like, here's a craft technique you may like, just really a record all place for my children and grandchildren to look back at. There's so much of my mother I wish I still had, conversations I wish I had a record of, stories she told that I wish I had. Maybe this will be the way I can keep those things for my family. If not then maybe I can use it to learn more about myself and watch my own growth. More later...
